My favorite memory with Uncle Guy was eating pickles while watching him play guitar and sing. After school, I would run over to Memaw and Papaws house because I knew Uncle Guy would be there. He would grab a big pickle jar from the fridge because he knew I loved them. While I ate, he would play guitar and sing to me. He always wanted me to sing along, but I was too shy. I was amazed every time how he sang and played so effortlessly. Along with playing music, he would ask me questions and genuinely wanted to know how I was or about my interests. He took the time to make me feel so special and loved, and I’m so grateful for those sweet moments with him.

I remember the first time Uncle Guy met my daughter Diane, and she was about 4-5 months old and he could make her laugh like no one else!
