Sam was the favorite uncle. Our children loved their uncle Sam. He would often stop by our home and raid our refrigerator, eating any and everything he found.
On Saturday's, we often times would find ourselves shopping with our children in the Chestnut Hill or Germantown areas of Pennsylvania; knowing that we would eventually run into Sam. When we did, Sam make sure each child had sufficient money to enjoy their day of shopping.
He would wrestle with our children like he was one on them. He was our children's favorite uncle, a friend to our family, and a fun brother in-law. My husband Nate loved him like a brother.
