It's always hard hearing about one of our members passing. My condolences to anyone who was close to her. Peace to her soul.

So loved talking and laughing with Karen who had such an infectious and clever sense of humor! Even after carrying her own burdens, she continued to open up to others. I particularly recall a couple of mixers at her home. (“Dinners for 8/Circle Suppers?”)
Karen added joy and sweetness to our lives.

Karen sent me a giant stack of crossword puzzles when I was in Iraq. She sent such a sweet funny note. Karen and George took me to the movies one holiday when I was all alone. Insisted on picking me up and everything! It was the nicest date I've ever been on! LOL I'll always remember her for her kindness and generosity. Rest in peace, Karen

Karen was one of the first people I met when I came to Buckman Bridge UU Church. She was an active member until her health began to fail.
She and her husband, George, made efforts to include me in dinners and their annual Christmas morning brunch following the death of my husband. It was Karen and I who coordinated the first Thanksgiving gathering for church members.
Karen was kind and funny. A librarian when I met her, she had an interesting past that she only shared with those close to her.
I know she will be remembered fondly by many of her friends from the library and BBUUC. I am one of those.
In faith and love.. Rev. Pat
