Obituary of Jack Lamar Truesdale

Jack Lamar Truesdale June 22, 1955 – January 28, 2020 Jack Lamar Truesdale, 64, died Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at the Warner Center for Caring in Fernandina Beach, Florida after a two year battle with leukemia. He leaves his wife, Elizabeth (Beth) Hunter Truesdale; his son, Shane Truesdale (Megan), stepsons; Hunter Howe (Maribeth) and Tyler Howe; eight grandchildren, Shane Jr., Cordelia, Katie and Emma Truesdale; Mia, Weston, Jada and Reid Howe; siblings Ann Allen (Dan), John Truesdale (Peggy), and Connie Parker (Harold); niece and nephews; Isaac Allen (Janet), Justin Allen (Rachel), Nate Allen (Zoe), Josh Truesdale (Brittany), Sara Brown (Paul), and Ben Thomas (Nicole). He was predeceased by his parents John and Sara (Cox)Truesdale; grandchild, Holden Howe; and niece, Emily Truesdale. Born in Durham, NC, raised in Belmont, NC, Jack was a current resident of Fernandina Beach, FL. Jack spent many years as a tugboat captain working in marine construction. During Beth and Jack’s twelve-year marriage, they set out for many adventures on the east coast as part of his work assignments. They spent their free time renovating their beach house in Fernandina and traveling. Jack never met a stranger and was known for his ability to tackle any project. He lived each day to its fullest. Cracker Jack to his coworkers and friends, Pappy to his family, and a loving husband to Beth – he touched the lives of many. The family will hold a private Celebration of Life.
