Obituary of Dan Hill

Dan Hill - 88 11/02/1932 - 04-17-2021 Dan Hill was born to the union of Albert and Alberta English Hill in 1932 in Uriah Alabama. He was also pre-deceased by his wife, Verlean Hill, three brothers, George, Charley, and Jeffry Hill. One sister Carrie Belle Hill. Two daughters, Janice Hunter-Frasier, and Francis Miller. Two sons, John Post and John Miller. And a grandson, Johnathan Miller. He is survived by four sisters, Mary Pride, Queens New York, Ann Henry of Queens New York, Alberta Winston of Jacksonville, Florida and Ella (Sam) Sanders of McDonough Georgia, and a special niece Barbara (Mike) Huff of McDonough Georgia. Four Granddaughters, Tora Jimerson, Tanisha Jimerson, Tamara Jimerson, and Tessa Alexander, AKA The Quads. One Grandson Marcus Chinelo, six great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter, and a host of nieces, cousins, and friends. Dan was honorably discharged from the Army after serving from 1951 until 1954. He owned and operated a carpet company in Los Angeles for over forty years. He was a God-fearing Christian. His heart was first devoted to God, then people and animals. Tell him a good joke and you're a friend for life, tell a not-so-good one and you're OK too. He liked everyone. He didn't care for fishing. He said "If it is supposed to be fun, they wouldn't call it fishing, they'd call it catching" Yes he was a wise man, who was very loved, and we will all miss him dearly. My mom, Alberta Winston, has wonderful memories, of uncle Dan and her growing up together. He will be remembered and will hold a special place in her heart.
