Miriam, Sheri & family; the gentle giant has left us. Judy and I were deeply saddened to learn of his death. At the same time, we know Jim would not want us to mourn, his wish would be to live our lives like he did, with great joy and happiness. As you know, Jim and I lived next door to one another on Alexander street, and from the time I could walk he became my role model and hero. In grade six he taught me how to lift weights properly. He went to St. F. X., and I followed. We both participated in the Antigonish Highland games, Jim excelled in the weight events. Of all the Scottish weight events, the Caber Toss was second to none, and Jim, the great one, was unbeatable. Another wonderful experience Marian, Jim, Judy and I shared was attending the Celtic Colours in Cape Breton. St F.X. arranged the trip and we traveled on the college owned bus used by various sport teams. When Jimmy arrives at the pearly gates in heaven, a pipe band will greet him playing Amazing Grace. The celebration for Jim has never been equalled; highland games, kitchen parties, and even more that we can dream…
Peace, love and healing to all
