Obituary of Norman Boissonneault

Please share a memory of Norman to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Norman Boissonneault, 65 passed away July 27, 2021, after a long illness. Norman was surrounded by family when he passed at his Fernandina Beach, FL home, where he has lived with his wife, Wendy for 30 years. Norman was a proud husband, grandfather and father, who spent his career at Kings Bay Naval shipyard as a Lofter, where he retired in 2015 after 36 years. Originally from Maine, Norman grew up in Kittery and started his career at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. His New England roots cultivated his love for Flo’s Dogs, lobster dinners and maybe a beer or two. An avid reader, Norman’s Stephen King collection could rival that in a library. He was also a devoted New England sports fan, especially the Red Sox and Patriots, but was known to show his support for the hometown Jacksonville Jaguars when he could watch them on local TV. You could also catch him watching reruns of The Three Stooges and MASH in his down time. Norman was active in his grandson William’s life and especially enjoyed watching him learn to play Chess. He valued the time they spent on their daily rituals, such as rides to school and helping with his homework. Norman was predeceased by his loving parents, Simone and Hervey Boissonneault. He is survived by his wife, Wendy Boissonneault, his sister, Diane Boissonneault, his daughters, Ryann Edwards and Erin St. Hilaire, his step-children, Tina Pafford and BJ Pafford, his grandchildren William Williams, Makalya Broughman, Adalynn and Evelynn Edwards, Aiyla and Jack St. Hilaire, and Kyle and Caleigh Pafford. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Ackerman and his staff for giving Norman more time when all seemed lost. They fought together courageously. Norm, Norman, Dad, Daddy, will be deeply missed. Details regarding memorial services to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Norman’s honor to the American Cancer Society https://www.cancer.org or the National Kidney Foundation https://www.kidney.org.
