Barbara Jean Brown
Barbara Jean Brown was born on November 20th, 1942 in Jacksonville, Florida. Being a two-time stroke survivor, she left this world suddenly on Thursday, August 12th, 2021 at the age of 78 from complications of COVID-19. She was preceded in death by her two siblings Maurice Brown, Sr. and Virginia Gail Billups. She was a caring Sister, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.
In 1986, Barbara was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She loved spending time creating sewing crafts like quilts, crocheted projects like baby blankets/hats and giving her advice whether merited or not to the many people she touched throughout her years. She was also a great narrator and story-teller of our Family History that will now be profoundly lost among us.
She had a plethora of jobs from Short-order cook, Airplane Riveter (Honeywell), Housekeeper and Foster-care to take care of the needs of her family. Though she never married, by choice, she is survived by her 4 adult children: Carla Thomas, Glenda Mitchell, Maurice Brown & Marcey Solomon. And from them formed her loving 19 Grandchildren and many blessed Great-Grandchildren.
