Willie James Rodgers was born on June 14, 1945 in DeKalb Mississippi. He was the first born of 2 children. He was preceded in death by James D. Rodgers and Bonnie Ball Rodgers, his parents and his little sister, Bonnie Louise Rodgers. Willie and his wife, Dinah Cook Rodgers had 2 children, Monica Louise Rodgers Monk and Jason D. Rodgers. Willie had a grandson, Richard Michael Monk, son of Monica R. Monk and Richard Monk. Willie had 3 other grandchildren by his son Jason D. Rodgers, Jasmine Reign Rodgers King, Zachary James Rodgers and Jaimie Edminston. Willie once owned as tow boat business in Louisiana. He had a tow boat that he named after his late father in law, Sonny Cook (Alvin Thomas Cook) who taught him the tow boat business. In the mid 80’s, Willie and Dinah sold their towboat business and moved to Broken Arrow Oklahoma to attend Rhema Bible Training Center and pastored 2 churches’ thereafter. Willie liked to fish and spend time with his family. He enjoyed traveling all over the US. He was a top notch business man and a wonderful pastor, husband and dad. He loved Jesus and followed after Him for the rest of his life. He knew how to take charge and how be a successful leader in everything he did. He is missed daily but his friends and family.
