Kathleen Britton Witsell, a native of Oil City, died on August 31 at her home in Jacksonville, FL
Kathy was daughter of Joan Britton Partridge and the late William D. Britton
Kathy graduated from
Oil City High School in 1975 and from Slippery Rock University in 1979.
She was for many years an educator, and she retired from University of Northern Florida.
Kathy is survived by her amazing daughter, Alexis, of Jacksonville, FL; her mother Joan Partridge of Franklin; her sister Kim Wert (husband Jim) of Zelienople; her niece and nephew, Elisabeth Wert of Berkeley, CA and Dr. Michael Wert of Columbus, OH.
In lieu of a funeral, there will be an oceanside celebration of Kathy’s life in the spring.
