It’s with a heavy heart that Steve and I , on the same day, found out we had a blood brother only to see that this amazing man had passed before we were able to meet him, I find myself reading and rereading the heartfelt tributes these good men, his brothers in arms, have written about this special man, my heart breaks for all who knew him, thank you all so much for giving me a glimpse of the brother I never met , Truly a hero and a gentleman, RIP

I first met Ponch in Panama in 1988. Less than a year later he was on the Patrol Boat I was on (PCF-1) during the Invasion. Just knowing he was up on the twin .50’s (him in the picture)and trusting in his experience made a very tense time a bit more bearable. He was a mentor, a shipmate, a father figure to many and best of all my friend. He will be dearly missed and will never be forgotten by his Panama brothers!
Rest easy Ponch, lay below, we have the watch.

It is with a heavy heart to hear that we lost my big brother Elliot. Elliot was a true patriot. He pursued a career in Navy where he dedicated and served his country. After the military, he continued to serve as a WMD Instructor and focused on a BS in Criminal Justice.
Elliot made his routine calls to check on his family to ensure we were safe and well. He was my “Guardian of the Family.” I deeply will miss our phone calls and his adventures with his beloved dog “Tank.”

It is with saddened hearts that we hear about your passing Cousin Elliott. The Rock's from Texas will surely miss you but never forget you. We will miss your calls and your voice and laughter; we Thank you for your service in the Navy and know that you are a true hero to the family and this country. Just found out about my beautiful brother's passing. My heart breaks, such a huge figure in my life and so many other lives he protected and helped. I will miss our conversations, his voice, his laugh and all the things that made him sooooo-wonderful and unique. Never forgotten, always remembered, forever grateful...
