William Daniel "Dan" Phillips, Jr. age 77, dear and loving father, husband, grandfather, brother and friend, passed peacefully on Monday, October 7th, 2024 at Morris Community Hospice in Jacksonville Florida. Born at St. Vincent's Hospital on October 19th, 1946 in Jacksonville, Florida, Dan was the oldest of two children born to William “Dub” Phillips, Sr. and Ruth Dolores Carter Phillips. He attended Orange Park High School and played guitar in a band with friends from school. He joined the Marine Corps after highschool, and attended college at St John’s River Community College. He worked in various sales roles in Jacksonville for the majoriy of his career, and later on he worked in real estate. Dan loved spending time with his family, playing guitar, listening to music, and shooting and cleaning his guns. Dan is survived by his wife, Jeanne Dooley Phillips, daughters Elizabeth Phillips, Christie Phillips and Lori Costanza, and brother Stephen Phillips. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Vada and Eden Costanza.
